Mission
Urban Restoration Enhancement Corporation (UREC) is seeking a Program Director for our EPA Community Change Grant Program titled Weatherization and Energy Efficiency to Promote Louisiana’s Urban Growth (WE PLUG Louisiana). WE PLUG Louisiana is a program that will improve the energy efficiency, health and resilience of housing in North Baton Rouge through a whole-house weatherization and energy efficiency approach. The Program Director will be responsible for the operational success of WE PLUG Louisiana ensuring seamless team management and development, program delivery, and quality control and evaluation.
Job Summary:
Essential Functions:
- Oversees the daily activities and operations of WE PLUG Louisiana
- Ensures compliance with all EPA regulations and guidelines pertaining to the EPA Community Change Grant
- Oversees program implementation by the Statutory Partner and Collaborating Entities
- Responsible for ensuring that the program is implemented in the defined project area and is administered consistently and in accordance with state and federal requirements.
- Ensures Weatherization program files from Statutory Partner and Collaborating Entities are accurate, consistent, and conform to EPA requirements.
- Ensure and enforce compliance with organizational policies and procedures for all staff
- Provides guidance and direction to the staff, evaluates performance, assesses, and secures training opportunities and resources for staff development.
- Keep senior management informed with detailed and accurate reports or presentations
Minimum Experience, Education, and Licensure: / Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Four-year degree required. Master’s degree in public administration or business administration preferred.
- Proven experience as program director or other managerial position
- Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
- Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics
- Outstanding knowledge of data analysis, reporting and budgeting
- Working knowledge of MS office
- A business acumen with a strategic ability
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills
