Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manager – Network and Sales Solutions for Urban Science Applications, Inc. in Plano, TX. Duties include:
1. Using automotive dealer retail network planning processes, liaise between client and internal technical staff to define client’s requirements for new features and enhancements of proprietary software solutions. 2. Conduct spatial data processing and analysis using geographic information systems (GIS) tools including ArcGIS and QGIS for data mapping and visualization to derive indicators used in decision making and solutions to client specific needs. 3. Support the delivery of client services analyzing different data sources using Microsoft Excel (Excel) related to the automotive industry, such as vehicle registration, dealer sales, demographic and economic data, to help clients maximize network efficiency and profitability. 4. Maintain ETL processes and ingest data into proprietary software using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services. 5. Design and conduct training sessions for clients on company solutions and software. 6. Project management responsibilities including delivery, timelines, forecasting, planning, tracking, executing and taking corrective action.
Qualifications - Education and Experience
Position Requires: Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Applied Mathematics, or foreign equivalent education, and 3 years’ experience in a software consultant or data analysis position – 3 years of experience is required in all of the following:
1. Dealer retail network planning in the automotive industry including primary market areas, sales, registrations, and segment adjustments to calculate expected volume, opportunities, sales and registration effectiveness. 2. Client-facing liaising between client and technical teams for business analysis, project requirements gathering and project management. 3. Working with GIS tools using ArcGIS and QGIS, used for geographic and alphanumerical data processing, and its integration into data warehouses. 4. Use Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services to create, execute, maintain ETL data processes aimed to ingest data into software. 5. Designing and creating training materials, presentations, and learning resources. 6. Data analysis and reporting using Excel, applying advanced text manipulation, mathematics, and statistical modeling to create reports. Utilize graphs, charts, pivot tables, formulas, functions, and macros in Excel spreadsheets.
40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
