General Description
The individual filling this role will be responsible for developing and implementing a systematic assessment of the effectiveness and impact of Urban Strategies programs and services by collecting and analyzing data, identifying areas for improvement, providing actionable recommendations to internal stakeholders, and leveraging existing processes to create the systems that facilitate continued evaluation and assessment. With this knowledge of existing programs, the selected individual will also play a key role in the development of proposals to obtain funding from both the private and public sectors.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work, public policy, evaluation research, or a related field with expertise in social service delivery.
- 5 years of experience in designing, conducting, statistical analysis and study research and analyzing program evaluations, particularly with Hispanic populations and faith-based organizations.
- 3 years of experience in grant writing for private and public funders and securing new funding opportunities.
- Strong knowledge of research and the ability to identify opportunities for academic and technical programs.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Highly organized, with strong systems implementation and follow-up skills.
- Proficient in research, data interpretation, and analysis, including the use of data analysis software.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills for building collaborative relationships with program staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Collaborate with program managers to design evaluation plans, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs), collecting data through diverse methods including client records, surveys, interviews and focus groups with clients, collaborators, and staff.
- Analyze both quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, patterns, and significant findings.
- Evaluate the overall impact of programs on client outcomes, including changes in social, economic, and personal well-being. Identify both successes and areas where improvements are needed.
- Prepare clear, concise evaluation reports that summarize key findings, highlight program strengths, identify areas for improvement, and provide actionable recommendations to program managers and leadership.
- Collaborate with program staff to apply evaluation findings to improve program operations and support ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
- Contributes to high-quality proposals, narratives, applications, and supporting documents in response to solicitations consistent with the requirements and guidelines of the funding agencies.
- Works with appropriate personnel to research, develop, write, and submit concept papers, and grant proposals.
- Develops and maintains a master file on pending grants and contracts.
- Maintains confidentiality of information on Urban Strategies and those it serves.
