Salary: $23.00- $35.00 per hour / pay based on experience

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Groundworker / Equipment Operator to join our team at Urban Tree and Landscape. As a Groundworker / Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for performing ground related tasks pertaining to tree pruning, removals, and other arboricultural tasks. Safety, professionalism, and customer satisfaction are our top priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

· Use chainsaws, hand saws, and other tools to perform tree care tasks.

· Assess trees for potential hazards and determine the best approach for work.

· Maintain equipment and tools to be in good working condition.

· Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

· Communicate effectively with team members, clients and managers.

· Complete required paperwork and reports accurately.

· Work and coordinate with other team members and crews to maximize and ensure daily efficiency.

· Be open key training opportunities from other team members, with a growth mindset.

Qualifications:

· Experience as a Groundworker / Equipment Operator preferred but will train the right candidate.

· Knowledge of, or willingness to learn tree species, growth patterns, and tree care techniques.

· Proficient in using chainsaws, and other tree care equipment.

· Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations.

· Ability to work in various weather conditions.

· Excellent physical condition and stamina.

· Valid driver’s license (Class A CDL with air brake endorsement preferred).
