Responsibilities:
- Make weekly contact with participants ether by home visitations, phone, or Facebook messages
- Keep accountably for each participant to accomplish their personal goals and program outcomes
- Enter data information on salesforce and keep track of assistance and one-on-one meetings
- Co-lead MC for all regular classes and facilitate some of the classes with parents and guardians as need it
- Support the director with outreach to promote the program by visiting local clinics/hospitals, Latino nonprofit organizations, schools, and Latino businesses as need it
- Work with the team in set up and clean up the classroom for classes and events
- Help with all weekly logistics as need it; parking assistance, children’s care, food service, library organization etc
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strongly proficient in Office 365, Excel, Microsoft Word; Good documentation and tracking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to facilitate classes and group presentations
- Ability to work independently with strong sense of focus, task oriented
Additional eligibility qualifications:
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Proficient Spanish speaker
- Passionate about serving the community through a Christian lens
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Degree in early childhood education preferred or professional experience working with families.
- Knowledge of Child Development – CDA or years of experience working with children under 5
- Knowledge of community organizations and have network connections
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
- Light to moderate lifting may be required
- Exposure to all weather elements while working
- Regular, predictable attendance is required
Work Location
- Urban Ventures Campus based at 2924 Fourth Ave South, Minneapolis
- Traveling to participants locations for work related meetings
Work hours:
- Up to 20 hours per week
Travel:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to use personal vehicle for work-related travel, mileage reimbursement provided
