Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Architectural Visualizer with a strong background in architecture or interior design to join our dynamic team in New York City. The ideal candidate will have over four years of professional experience (excluding internships) and will be responsible for translating design intent into compelling visual presentations. This role is focused on collaborating with architects and interior designers to enhance client satisfaction and support project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Correspond effectively with Directors and Project Managers in both Architecture and Interior teams.
- Participate in internal design team meetings and attend site visits as required.
- Attend client meetings based on project scope and requirements to present design concepts.
- Oversee project scheduling and manage deliverables assigned to junior team members.
- Assist in creating design concepts and developing spatial planning strategies under the guidance of the Studio Director.
- Prepare initial drafts of plans, elevations, and section details for review.
- Develop and refine design solutions through modeling, rendering, and sketching.
- Train and mentor junior staff in drafting, modeling, and rendering techniques.
- Conduct preliminary reviews of specialty millwork and stone shop drawings before final review by the Director.
- Coordinate responses to Client Questionnaires in collaboration with Project Managers in Architecture and Interiors.
- Lead the preparation of presentation decks in partnership with studio design teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
- Proficiency in Rhino, InDesign, and Photoshop is also required.
- Comfortable working in a support role with minimal supervision.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills.
- Talented designer with significant technical ability.
- Highly organized with acute attention to detail.
- Ability to accept direction and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Capable of handling the pressure of tight deadlines.
