We are looking for a motivated and skilled Intermediate Interior Designer with a passion for hospitality design to join a creative team in New York City. The successful candidate would ideally have experience in designing hotel guest rooms and will be proficient in AutoCAD. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of hotel guest rooms and other hospitality spaces, ensuring adherence to client standards and design intent.
- Create detailed construction documentation and specifications using AutoCAD.
- Collaborate with senior designers and project managers to ensure project timelines and objectives are met.
- Participate in design presentations and client meetings, contributing innovative ideas and solutions.
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and ensure design quality is maintained throughout construction.
- Support junior team members, providing guidance and mentorship as needed.
- Stay informed about industry trends and materials to enhance design approaches and solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- 4-7 years of experience in hospitality interior design, preferably with hotel guest room projects in your portfolio.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with design software (e.g., SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A collaborative mindset and a keen eye for detail.
