Position: Intermediate Interior Designer / Architect
Location: New York City (In-office, 5 days a week)
We seek a talented and detail-oriented Intermediate Interior Designer / Architect to join our studio. The ideal candidate is locally based, has a strong interest and background in single and multi-family residential design, and possesses the technical skillset to take a project from concept through construction administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Lead Designer on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Contribute to the design development process through SketchUp models, mood boards, material sample curation, and conceptual sketch drawings.
- Develop and produce technical drawing sets that reflect the Studio's design intent.
- Research and refine design details, including architectural and millwork components, as well as finish, hardware, and other schedules.
- Coordinate design documentation with consultants to ensure project alignment.
- Interface with construction teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Lead the Studio's Construction Administration phase, managing RFIs, submittals, and contractor correspondence.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4-7 years of full-time professional experience in an architecture and/or interior design studio.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam Revu, and Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited institution.
Able to work in the office five days a week and fluent in English, with strong communication and coordination skills.
