Social Media Consultant (Cannabis Industry) – Urbana

We are seeking a creative and results-driven Social Media Consultant to grow Urbana’s digital presence and engage our community. If you thrive in an energized retail setting, have a passion for storytelling, and love making people feel great, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Content Creation: Develop engaging social media content, including images, reels, and posts, tailored to Urbana’s dispensaries and lounges.
• Community Engagement: Increase our follower base by actively engaging with audiences across Instagram and other social media channels.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing Manager to align content with Urbana’s brand voice and promotional strategies.
• Strategic Reporting: Provide insights and updates to the CEO on campaign performance, audience growth, and engagement metrics.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience managing and growing Instagram accounts, with a strong track record of engagement and follower growth.
• A personable, creative, and solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to produce compelling content under tight deadlines.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to execute innovative digital marketing strategies.
• Experience in retail, cannabis, or lifestyle branding is a plus.

(A) At the time of application, you are a member of a household that earns no more than 80% of the San Francisco or Oakland Area Median Income, adjusted for household size;

(B) During the period 1971-2016, you were arrested for, convicted of, or adjudged to be a ward of the juvenile court for any crime under the laws of California or any other jurisdiction relating to the sale, possession, use, manufacture, or cultivation of Cannabis;

(C) Since 1995, you experienced housing insecurity in San Francisco or Oakland, as evidenced by eviction, foreclosure, or revocation of housing subsidy;

(D) You have or had parent, sibling, or child, who during the period 1971-2016, was arrested for, convicted of, or adjudged to be a ward of the juvenile court for any crime under the laws of California or any other jurisdiction relating to the sale, possession, use, manufacture, or cultivation of Cannabis;

(E) You attended a school under the jurisdiction of the San Francisco or Oakland Unified School District for five years, either consecutively or in total, during the period 1971-2016; or

(F) During the period of 1971-2016, you lived for at least five years, either consecutively or in total, in San Francisco or Oakland census tracts where at least 17% of the households had incomes at or below the federal poverty level, as determined by the Director.
