Job Description:
Responsibilities:
* Ability to troubleshoot and repair enterprise server/workstation systems as well as Microsoft Windows domain environments to include active directory, systems backups, archiving and disaster recovery.
* Demonstrate understanding and administration of VMware vSphere, Dell PowerEdge servers, and Microsoft Active Directory/Group Policy as well as be knowledgeable of network fundamentals and security protocols of technical systems.
Qualifications:
* A degree in the field of computer science or a related discipline is preferred
* Technical certification is a plus (e.g., COMP TIA Security , A or related disciplines).
* Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience within a WAN/LAN environment
* The Systems Administrator should have experience with:
* Administration/upgrade of VMware vSphere and vSAN, versions 6.7, 7, and 8 including:
* Administration of ESXi hosts
* Updating of ESXi hosts
* Monitor utilization and performance of VMs across several sites
* Administration/repair of Dell PowerEdge gen 13,14, 16 servers
* Monitor all servers for failed hardware
* Work with Logistics to replacement parts via warranty and ship to post
* Work with remote personal to replace parts as needed
* Administration of enterprise-wide Active Directory and Group
* Administration of Microsoft domain controllers including promotion, demotion, and deployment of read-only domain controllers.
* Create and modify existing GPOs as needed to support applications and server deployments and upgrades
* Troubleshoot group policy issues/conflicts
* Windows Server 2012R2 upgrades to Windows Server 2019/2022
* Build replacement systems in advance of migration
* Coordinate with post and application teams to cutover to new systems with minimal downtime
* Execute PowerShell scripts to complete migration tasks
* Administration of Symantec EndPoint Protection Manager and client including:
* Updating virus definition files as needed on an air-gapped network
* Updating license files as needed on an air-gapped network
* Troubleshooting of server and client issues
* Experience executing, MS PowerShell Scripts including (but not limited to) working with the following modules and command line tools:
* Dell racadm
* Active Directory Power Shell Module
* SQL Server Power Shell Module
* VMware PowerCLI
Experience with the following applications is a plus:
* SCCM/MECM
* Avamar Virtual Edition/Data Domain Virtual Edition
* Knowledgeable of telecommunications protocols and router switch configurations.
* Security Clearance - Minimum DoD Interim Secret with eligibility to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
* Must be able to provide periodic 24/7 on-call support via rotating schedule
* Other related duties as assigned
