Role Mission: Our main objective is to #SendHappy. Our delivery associates - you can call them couriers, bike messengers, whatever you like - are the last mile of our entire experience. You’ll get to know the ins and outs of the city as you ride and deliver happiness. You will represent the company when you are making deliveries and your skills will help the team grow faster.
Role Location: Washington, DC or NYC
Responsibilities
- Ensuring deliveries are punctual to the requested time frame
- Communicating in a polite and hospitable manner towards all co-workers, customers, recipients, building attendants, and contact points
- Relaying information, such as names, addresses, telephone numbers, and other delivery details to dispatchers and customer service to maximize delivery success as outlined by UrbanStems’ policies and procedures
- Assisting with the loading of goods for delivery
- Conferring with the delivery, operations, and customer happiness team on system successes and failures for process improvement
- Deliver gifts on time, every time. Delivery Associates hear the clock ticking, and communicate regularly with their Dispatcher, Delivery Lead, Happiness Associates, customers, and recipients to ensure each delivery experience is proper and simply special.
- Support our team as we create the best gifting experience possible - you’ll funnel common delivery issues and knowledge of building-specific delivery points to your team.

Requirements
- Must have a bike with brakes and the ability to carry a large load. Front rack, trailer, large, backpack-style messenger bag, or ability to carry a mail tub is preferred.
- Must have a smartphone that can access our delivery platforms, send/receive texts/calls/emails, and take pictures
- Have a working knowledge of delivery area
- Love of riding – must be able to ride 30-50 miles per day
