SMUD is seeking two (2) professional services resources to provide GIS (ESRI) Technical Analyst services. Contractor is expected to work independently to do the following:
Deployment of updated map layers including any current functionality including map pop up attributes, symbology and scale, query or filtering configurations.

- It is expected that the contractor will be available onsite for meetings and to facilitate the gathering of requirements, documentation, etc.
- Contractor will be able to work offsite, as project work allows and with prior written approval from the SMUD Information Security Manager. Contractor will be responsible for providing their own workstation and software when working offsite.
SMUD is seeking two (2) professional services resources to provide GIS (ESRI) Technical Analyst services. Contractor is expected to work independently to do the following:
- Develop and document ESRI schema and integration requirements
- Create ESRI Enterprise Geodatabase to store RES geospatial data
- Support virtual server deployment in compliance with ESRI system requirements with SQL Server and ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise Geodatabase installed.
- Engage and collaborate with SMUD IT resources from App Admin team to setup required servers and deploy database components.
- Build ESRI feature classes used to integrate and store data from other applications and platforms –ESRI Enterprise Geodatabase feature class creation.
- Database feature class (database objects) schema complexity will be determined by step 1.
- Develop/support integration of other applications with ESRI – This work will be determined by API/REST/database integration capabilities between ESRI and/or ESB & other applications.
- Develop and deploy ESRI web map services of data from various sources – Development of ESRI map/feature service project including required configurations (step 1) and publish to ESRI map/feature service REST endpoint to be used in ESRI mapping applications and possible integration pattern with ESB/other apps.
- Develop/update ESRI mapping applications used by RES to support newly integrated data –
- Minimum 5 years direct ESRI experience
- Must have development of ESRI map/feature service project experience
- Python and .NET skillset
