Role Description
Title: Systems Engineer
Focus: Integration of software with hardware, requirement writing, testing, and risk analysis
Tool Used: Retina for requirements, risk verification, and validation
ResponsibilitiesRequirements Management:
o Write and refine requirements
o Develop test cases to verify requirements
Validation & Testing:
o Validate customer requirements
o Conduct failure mode effects analysis (FMEA) from a software perspective
Integration:
o Integrate software with hardware systems
o Address software bugs and defects
o Manage defect resolution and write new requirements for future software releases
Risk Management:
o Perform software and cybersecurity FMEA
Collaboration:
o Work cross-functionally with departments: Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Development (both hardware and software)
o Interface with the team in Romania and external vendors or contractors
RequirementsTechnical Skills:
o Software background or skill set
o Experience with system integration between hardware and software
o Familiarity with risk, requirement verification, and validation in a regulated industry
Cybersecurity Knowledge:
o Helpful for conducting specific cybersecurity FMEA
Agile Framework:
o Experience with planning in an agile environment
