Summary Of Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction to the site maintenance organization, which includes Plant Controls and Energy Systems (PCES) (I&C and Electrical) Mechanical, Ancillary and Maintenance Support, HVAC systems, and Facilities. Included in these responsibilities is organizing, controlling and coordinating the conduct of site maintenance activities, maintenance planning and scheduling, maintenance support activities, and contractor management. Establish and manage contracts and oversee activities for facility contracts including utility services, custodial services, grounds keeping, warehousing, and food services contracts. Responsible for reinforcing safe work practices, oversight/ownership of the maintenance training program and control of the maintenance budget.
Education And Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
The work location for this position is Urenco USA, Eunice, NM. Work Schedule: Professional work schedule with minimal night/weekend support. Some nights and weekend work may be required. Employees are also subject to call-outs as needed. Travel Required: 10% of the time or less as required. Security Clearance Requirement: Controlled Access Area (CAA) Access and an L or Q level security clearance is required. Work Environment: Radiological exposure expectations of < 100 mrem/yr. General Office, Plant Production Areas. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc.

Education And Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in an engineering or scientific field from an accredited college or university.
- Eight years of related experience; of which at least three years include previous leadership experience and four years of responsible nuclear experience.
- Eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience in supervising and managing organizations responsible for the maintenance or operation of a nuclear or chemical facility.
Primary Functions
- Implements the Site Maintenance department strategic goals and objectives to achieve the company's long range business plan.
- Aligns the Site Maintenance organization resources around daily operational needs, emergent issues, on-going maintenance activities, challenges to schedules, and the work place environment through regular and effective communication with Maintenance personnel.
- Ensures that Group standards/expectations, local health, safety and environmental guidelines and directives are implemented and understood through direct observation to ensure safety of people and resources.
- Ensures that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, trained and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect employees within HR policies.
- Represents department by providing presentations and information to senior management on a regular basis to communicate status of pending maintenance and equipment performance and being accountable for project completions and achievement of compliance goals. Interacts with project teams and cross-functional groups as they impact the quality of plant maintenance or facility operation.
- Establish procedures and performance metrics including tracking, analyzing, and reporting performance in terms of safety, quality, cost, and customer satisfactions for areas of responsibility.
- Proposes and manages the annual site maintenance budget. Administers purchasing activities for areas of responsibility and monitors the costs and effectiveness of activities to optimize resources and determines actions to cost issues as necessary.
- Defines site maintenance policies and processes that drive maximum efficiency of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities. Develops and implements life cycle management procedures for all new and existing equipment.
- Manage, develop and maintain systems to capture equipment performance and maintenance history. Analyze data to develop improvements that will limit downtime/maximize efficiencies. Implements the work management (and outage management) processes for the site focusing on safety, cost and production in this order.
- Manages the site wide scheduling process with key stakeholders to ensure Plant priorities, needed resources, and planning preparations are aligned to support continued safe plant operations.
- Manages and operates a Preventive/Predictive Maintenance Program to efficiently plan, organize maintenance and capture an effective maintenance history of plant systems and components to provide for trending, predictive maintenance, and recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure materials and supplies necessary to perform site maintenance are identified and available sufficiently in advance as to not have an adverse effect on scheduled maintenance.
- Collaborates with the Engineering department in the definition of maintenance plans and recommends methods to improve reliability, ongoing maintenance and safety of equipment.
- Develops and proposes improvement projects for processes and production designed to improve environmental compliance requirements, safety, quality, and overall operation and service levels to customers.
- Includes other duties and responsibilities as directed.
- Manage the company mail service and purchase and distribution of office supplies and water processing within the office operations functions as well as other items as assigned.
- Establish and oversee various maintenance contracts such as gym and food services and other outsource functions to support the operating equipment and building/facilities maintenance.
- Ensure all company off site assets, buildings and equipment are maintained as required.
- Manage the General Service Contractor for site support services and activities.
- Manage maintenance of physical plant including buildings, roads, fencing, grounds and all associated preventative, repair and emergent maintenance.
- Develop and control annual budgets for utilities, building grounds, maintenance contractors and facility maintenance equipment and warehousing including approving expenditures.
- Manage all physical plant waste storage and removal, including working with outside contractors, management and employees to ensure and maintain environmental, safety and health compliance in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor, audit and assess energy and space usage and recommend actions to maximize energy efficiency and effective use of space.
- Develop specifications, negotiate contracts, and direct external services providers, such as general contractors for janitorial services, lawn and landscaping maintenance and general construction.
- Manage resource planning, space allocation and layout, and budget for physical plant of URENCO USA s campus.
- Ability to work with diverse groups, manage others, and coordinate/direct work of contractors.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate communications with all levels of management, URENCO USA staff, regulators, vendors and consultants.
- Must be able to work independently and in group settings.
- Ability to understand and gain timely resolution of equipment anomalies, degraded performance, or failure.
- Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations.
- Knowledge of Building and maintenance trades.
- Ability to manage complex schedules, coordinate multiple activities, and provide long term planning.
