Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment to ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records, including medical coding when applicable.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Manage patient flow and ensure a welcoming environment for all patients.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, including assisting with pediatric patients.
- Stay updated on dental terminology and anatomy knowledge to enhance patient interactions.
Experience
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
- Familiarity with Epic software is a plus.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and medical imaging techniques is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
