What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Nurse Practitioner position at Urgent Care?
Gold Star Urgent Care is searching for a Family Nurse Practitioner, or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, to care for ill and injured individuals. We are searching for a trained provider to handle short term diagnosis and treatment for various acute illness. The provider will work closely with a care team to provide holistic care to various patients such as pediatric, geriatric, and multiple diversity patients. The provider must be able to work in a high-volume environment while multi-tasking. Gold Star Urgent Care is dedicated to serving the community and treating each patient like gold. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing urgent care services to patients of various ages
- Performing initial examinations, including physical exams and patient observations
- Performing simple procedures such as suturing and/or abscess drainage
- Must be able to work in fast paced environment
- Must be able to properly delegate to staff within their scope of practice
- Setting up and monitoring medical equipment
- Ordering and administering diagnostic tests
- Communicating test results to patients and their families
- Recording patient medical histories
- Operating and maintaining medical equipment
- Caring for various sprains
- Prescribing necessary medications
- Making necessary referrals to specialist
- Ordering various diagnostic test when needed
- Communicating with other providers
