HIRING FOR APRIL 2025
Outpatient Urgent Care Looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner for a Part Time position to start with possibility to transition to Full Time. Must be Experienced seeing patients of all ages including pediatrics.
Part Time requirements- 24hrs a week Every other weekend rotation. (31hrs/wk)
Full Time requirements- 37hrs a week (that includes every other full weekend rotation)
Must be able to travel to any of our locations on the South Shore.
Must be able to work 2 Holidays in which we are open per year. (one Spring/ one Winter)
The job description of a Nurse Practitioner includes conducting physical examinations, interpreting lab tests, X-rays, and overseeing patients’ health.
URGENT CARE AND/OR EMERGENCY ROOM EXPERIENCE IS A MUST!!!! Minimum of 2 years!!
You’ll be both a health practitioner and an educator, supporting disease prevention practices and helping people lead healthy lives.
You should have experience in one of the following Nurse Practitioner specialties: acute care, internal medicine, ER or Urgent Care. Extensive clinical experience in ER or Urgent Care is vital. You’ll work close with other healthcare professionals, so you should have a team spirit and a positive attitude. Patience, problem-solving skills and communication ability are important. - Must have:
- - Medical License
- -ACLS/BLS (PALS optional)
- - MSCR (
- -DEA
- -DOT certification (must sit for the test within three months of hire date/reimbursable once year employment has past)
Responsibilities
- Examine patients and their medical records
- Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.)
- Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
- Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases
- Prescribe medications
- Maintain accurate records and schedules
- Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
- Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics and prevention
- Oversee patients’ overall health
- Promote good health practices
- Advance professional knowledge and conduct research
Skills
- Proven experience as Nurse Practitioner in a clinic, hospital, ER or other setting
- Expertise in primary care, acute care, ER or Urgent Care
- Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong ethics
- Team spirit with a positive attitude
- Patience and cool-headedness
- Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience
- Valid nurse practitioner license in MA
- Master’s degree; PhD is a plus
- I&D's
- Womens Health/Pelvic Exams/ STI testing
- Comfortable with Pediatric patients
- EKG interpretation
- Xray interpretation (final over-reads sent to Radiologist)
- Suturing preferable - but be willing to learn/take course
- Splinting, minimal casting, pre-fabricated Ortho
- Wound care
- Start IV's, Give IV fluids, Push IV medication/Blood draws/Injections
