About Us:
Urgent Eyecare is the first after-hours, appointment-based urgent care model designed exclusively for eye emergencies. When traditional clinics close, patients with true ocular emergencies often turn to ERs or general urgent cares — where they’re either misdiagnosed, delayed, or turned away.

We exist to bridge that gap and deliver immediate, expert-level care directly to the people who need it most — from licensed optometrists, on their terms.

We’re currently expanding our team of on-call optometrists in:

• Dallas, TX
• Allen, TX
• Houston, TX (coming soon)
• The Villages, FL (Just Launched!)
• San Diego, CA (Coming Soon)

What You'll Do:

• Serve as the on-call OD for urgent eye care cases during your designated days or week(s)
• Receive patient details from our in-house triage team (pre-paid, pre-screened)
• Meet patients at the partner location to provide urgent care
• Perform necessary testing and treatment (foreign body removal, red eye evals, retinal checks, etc.)
• Complete simple digital documentation after each visit

What We Require:

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree and active state license
• Comfort with urgent care procedures (foreign body removal, dilation, red eyes, etc.)
• Willingness to manage your own testing and care (you are the sole provider on site)
• Reliable transportation to meet patients as needed
• Minimum commitment of one 1 on-call day per week. Preferred 1 on-call week/month (this is the best ROI)
