ARRT Radiology Technologist Job Description

The ARRT Radiology Technologist plays a critical role in providing timely radiology services in a healthcare setting. This position involves performing x-ray testing, operating diagnostic equipment, and ensuring patient safety and comfort during radiologic procedures.

This role requires strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, as well as the ability to prepare patients for radiologic procedures and follow established clinical and regulatory procedures.

The successful candidate will have ARRT certification, TN State X-Ray License, and BLS Certification. A high school diploma or equivalent is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform timely radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician
• Perform necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and follow established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care
• Ensure that equipment is in proper working order and report any malfunctions to the Area Manager or provider on duty
• Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation related to patient visit
• Maintain and improve diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with support and assistance of outside educational resources
