Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN to join our dynamic healthcare team in Benton, AR.
Responsibilities
- Greeting patients, preparing them for examination or procedure, recording health history, and noting abnormal conditions for physician.
- Assisting with preparation of supplies and equipment, aiding physician or mid-level practitioner during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
- Administering injections, prescribed medications, observing patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments.
- Maintaining accurate and timely patient chart entries, forwarding charts as appropriate, and maintaining patient files and records.
- Scheduling tests and treatments, arranging referrals, obtaining pre-authorizations, collecting and documenting lab specimens.
- Notifying patients of test results and follow-up appointments, instructing patient and family regarding medications and treatment.
- Cleaning and restocking exam/treatment rooms, following clinic policies for infection control, monitoring inventory and supplies.
- Maintaining up-to-date stock, medical equipment, responding to and screening telephone calls, triaging patients.
Requirements
- Degree from an accredited school of practical nursing required.
- Minimum of two years' experience in a hospital or clinic setting preferred.
- Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in accordance with state regulations.
