Job Title : Level 2 Registered Nurse - Neurosurgery Stepdown

Profession : Registered Nurse

Shift : Rotating Shifts - Days / Evenings / Nights, including Weekends, Holidays, On-Call, and Callback as needed

Hours per Shift : 3x12.0

Experience : Minimum of two years

License : RN License (New York License Only)

Certifications : BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association)

Must-Have : Stepdown Experience, PCU Experience, High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience, Telemetry Experience

Description :

Through clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and research, the Level II Registered Nurse is accountable for providing competent care based on established standards.

The Level II Registered Nurse assumes an expanded role, which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.

Candidates must have stepdown experience.

Experience with Q1 neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains, 3% NS and cardene drips, arterial lines, carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coil / clips, DBS insertion, VP shunts, and managing seizures is needed.
