Description :
The Observation unit provides care for adult patients who need additional observation to assess if their condition requires hospital admission or if they can be safely treated and released home.
This is a fast-paced environment that manages a turnover of 20 to 27 patients per day, with an average stay of 27 hours.
The unit has 24 / 7 provider coverage.
Care will be provided for a diverse adult population, including both emergency observation and admitted boarding patients.
Patient care includes managing cases from short stays to full admissions.
Job Duties include working on-call, call-back, holidays, and weekends as needed.
