Job Summary


The Director, National Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) Lead, will be an essential leadership role within the UroGen field organization.  Reporting to the Vice President, Sales, the National CNE Field Director serves as the head of CNE field team and partners closely with peer field leaders as well as other key commercial and medical associates.  


In this pivotal role, will lead the internal UroGen CNE team and contracted external partners to provide a best-in-class support experience focused on providing helpful resources, training, in-services, and pharmacy mixing support for all Urogen products, for both internal stakeholders and external customers. 


The National CNE Field Director will also be responsible to support education programs across multiple products, disease states, and patient populations aimed to ensure successful initiation, and provide relevant and timely information for successful on-label adoption of the UroGen product portfolio. This leader will lead a dedicated team of 11 direct report CNEs, and be responsible for strategy, development and tactical execution for all CNEs


The National CNE Field Director will partner with internal and external patient support teams, and cross-functional partners in Market Access, Marketing, Sales, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Supply Chain, and IT. The Sr. Director of CNE will have strong project management skills, and will possess strong leadership skills, and a passion for improving patients' lives.

 

Duties & Responsibilities


  • Drive strategy development and oversight of execution for the Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) team in close alignment with functions within the UroGen Commercial and Medical teams.
  • Ensure team mastery of UroGen’s product(s) to educate all audiences. This includes a mastery of the product(s), the competition, the disease areas, technical issues and the marketplace. The Sr. Director of CNE must be extremely customer focused and able to build strong and long-lasting relationships with key decision makers and opinion leaders. 
  • Partner and mange external vendors to ensure all customer instillations, mixing, in-services etc. are met
  • Collaborate/partner with marketing teams on the development and execution of RN speaker programs.  This will include vendor management, setting expectations in the field, internal stakeholder management, Though Leader relationships, and execution.
  • The Director of CNEs will work directly with the NSD(s), head of KADs, head of FRMs, and head of MSLs as a Senior Field leadership team. 
  • Responsible for accurate inventory management of all ancillary materials and work with Supply chain and compliance to write policy, and oversee adherence in the field
  • Lead all CNE training classes and classes for the Territory Business Manager.  Additionally, this leader will work with Commercial Training leads to build curriculum for the CNEs at Regional and National Meetings, and as needed
  • Up to 80 % travel will be required.
  • There will be medical and nursing meetings the Sr. Director of CNE will be required to attend on both a national and local level that will require coverage on weekends.

 

List of qualifications


To be qualified for the Sr. Director of Clinical Nurse Educator position at UroGen the following are mandatory requirements:

  • Minimum requirement B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent
  • An active health care license in at least one state in the territory covered
  • A minimum of 5 years clinical experience in critical care.
  • Needs to have over 3 years of leadership experience
  • Qualified candidates must have strong interpersonal skills and must be able to lead without influence.
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel up to 4 nights/week
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Must travel to the home office every month

 

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Prior leadership in pharmaceuticals or nursing experience.
  • Comfortable giving presentations to both small and large groups.
  • Urology Experience
  • Live near airport
  • MBA
