Position Summary: The Clinical Navigator for Bladder and Prostate Cancer Programs serves as a vital point of contact and advocate for patients navigating their cancer care journey. This role is responsible for coordinating patient care, supporting treatment planning, and ensuring effective communication across the multidisciplinary team. The Clinical Navigator will work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacy technicians, and external partners to streamline the patient experience and provide high-quality, compassionate support throughout diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Serve as the primary patient navigator and point of contact for bladder and prostate cancer patients.
· Coordinate and schedule all aspects of treatment regimens for prostate and bladder cancer patients.
· Obtain and relay relevant clinical information, including subjective symptoms and objective findings, during office visits and telephone encounters.
· Provide patient recommendations under the supervision and direction of a licensed physician.
· Schedule, track, and monitor routine laboratory testing for patients as part of ongoing treatment and surveillance.
· Facilitate all aspects of PROVENGE® therapy, including patient education, scheduling, and infusion of product.
· Assist the Nuclear Medicine physician and technician during in-clinic PLUVICTO® treatments.
· Provide backup support to the pharmacy technician assisting prostate cancer patients, as needed.
· Support and provide backup to the Manager of Clinical Navigation in activities related to clinical trial coordination and oversight.
Qualifications:
· Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with an active, unencumbered license.
· Clinical experience in oncology, urology, or case management strongly preferred.
· Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft, and EHR systems.
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Compensation: $18.00 - $34.00 per hour depending upon licensure and experience.
