Urology Surgery Center of Savannah seeks a Georgia-licensed Registered Nurse to work in its AAAHC- accredited urology-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center on a PRN schedule. PACU and Circulating Nurse experience preferred but not required. Current BLS/ACLS required. General Summary of Duties:
The Staff Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who, under the immediate supervision of the Charge Nurse, is responsible for the safety of the patient while in the preoperative and recovery areas and assists with the supervision of non-professional personnel in the area. By assessment of the individual patient and procedure, the RN anticipates the needs of the surgical team and provides such services while maintaining an aseptic and safe environment.
Education, Training and Experience:
- Current GA Registered Professional Nursing license
- Familiar with the basic nursing performance standards as outlined in the Georgia Nurse Practice Act
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in PACU or ICU preferred.
- Knowledge of:
- patient's rights, surgery center policy and procedures, surgery center fire and safety regulations
