Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring that patients receive high-quality care. This position requires a blend of clinical and administrative skills, making it essential for the candidate to be well-versed in medical terminology and procedures.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications as directed by physicians.
- Looking for a compassionate female medical assistant who would be an instructor and mentor to men with ED. Prior experience working in operating room or in a urology office is a plus. Willingness to perform procedures is required, all necessary training to be provided. As a registered medical assistant, you will utilize your core skills in catheterization, blood draw, and patient care. Also, you will be delivering therapy with low intensity shockwaves for erectile dysfunction as well as teaching self injection and use of vacuum erection devices, and coaching in the treatment of ejaculatory dysfunction.
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Maintain knowledge of outpatient care practices and hospital medicine protocols.
- Utilize understanding of physiology to assist in patient assessments.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Demonstrate basic life support techniques as needed in emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is mandatory.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and systems relevant to outpatient settings.
- Experience with medication administration and knowledge of various medications.
- Strong understanding of physiology related to patient care.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining professionalism.
- Basic life support certification is required or must be obtained within the first month of employment.
