What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Billing Supervisor position at Urology Associates of Mobile?
Urology Associates of Mobile, PA is looking to fill the role of a Medical Billing Supervisor. This position will work under the direction of the Billing Manager to oversee all billing practices for managed clinic locations in Georgia and South Carolina. This position will require someone who doesn't mind growth as we will continue adding billing clients. The Billing Supervisor will be responsible for approximately seven staff members consisting of Charge Reps, Posting Reps, A/R Specialists, and Patient Collections Reps.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Attend weekly management meetings with the Billing Manager to discuss current
issues/concerns (both process issues and human resource issues), areas of improvement, and overall operational health.
2. In conjunction with the Billing Manager, create written protocols for each billing operation and complete/monitor the implementation and training of these protocols.
3. Document consistent billing issues/errors that may be related to other departments. Report these issues to the Billing Manager for research and correction.
4. Provide guidance to billing office and front office staff in regards to claim specific or patient specific billing questions such as patient collection issues or claim denial issues.
5. Review claims denials and collections balances to ensure assigned worklists are being efficiently and properly completed. If certain staff are not completing their daily work in accordance with protocol, report these issues to the Business Office Director.
6. Perform other tasks as needed or directed by the management team.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or GED required
2. Five years of relevant experience required
3. Previous supervisory experience required

2. Employee must be able to keep an organized workflow and effectively manage multiple tasks at one time.
3. Employee must be able to be active and mobile for an eight hour period.
