Urology Clinics of North Texas is seeking an experienced LVN. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) at Urology Clinics of North Texas (UCNT), you will be an integral part of a dynamic organization experiencing growth. Job Summary And Qualifications
The Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services. In collaboration with the Physician and other members of the care team, the LPN/LVN provides individualized, comprehensive care consistent with the scope and standards of the specialty.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Provide direct, evidence-based care to patients as directed by the physician.
- Assist with procedures, monitoring, or other functions as directed.
- Perform lab and procedural tests within the LVN/LPN scope of practice, after demonstrating competency.
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Administer injections and medications/ watching for adverse reactions to medications.
- Assist during examinations as necessary, cleaning and changing of dressings as needed, monitoring patients’ conditions, perform catheterizations.
- Set up and maintain equipment along with sterilizing medical equipment and exam rooms, explain procedures and treatments as needed.
- Work with the patient and the families of patients to educate them on follow-up and preventative care.
- Scheduling/ rescheduling appointments as necessary.
- Surgery Scheduling.
- Answer phones for triage patients/ hospitals/ doctors, workflow (tasks, voicemail, charting).
- Train new medical staff as needed.
- Work cohesively with multiple staff members to effectively provide the highest level of nursing care to all patients.
- Interacting with co-workers and other staff, guests and patients providing outstanding customer service
- Responsible for providing technical assistance under the direction of licensed personnel for mid-levels and physicians in a clinical setting.
- Should be able to communicate both orally and written to physician, patient, and family members in a clear, concise manner.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Accredited school of practical nursing (Required)
- At least 2 years of experience as a LVN highly preferred
- LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse upon hire (Required)
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire (Required)
Preferred Experience (highly desired but not required)
- Urology and/or Ob/Gyn
- NextGen or similar EMR's
