We are looking for a skilled Medical Scribe to join our team, responsible for carrying out various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate should be a professional with relevant experience in the medical field, ensuring the efficient and effective support of healthcare professionals in delivering quality work.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides real time chart documentation for physicians with the highest level of accuracy and efficiency
- Records patient’s history and diagnoses in the EHR as relayed by patient and/or physician
- Determines pertinent specifics of physical exam that should be recorded in the patient’s EHR
- Places orders in the EHR for diagnostic testing and orders for prescriptions as indicated by physician
- Record diagnostic and pathologic results into the chart as determined by physician
- Outlines the physician’s medical impression and prepares the plan of follow-up care as indicated by the physician
- Assists patients when necessary and answers patient questions where appropriate
- Completes MIPS criteria as indicated during the patient exam
Required License/Experience/Skills
- Previous experience in medical setting.
- Possesses strong oral and written skills for corresponding with physicians, patients, fellow employees, third party insurance company representatives.
- Epic EHR experience
