Urology Specialist of the Carolinas is now hiring two full time Patient Services Associates to join our team of dedicated professionals at our Hawthorne and Pineville locations.
Urology Specialists of the Carolinas is a well-established independent urology group with eight offices located throughout the Charlotte region. We have thirty five providers and a large support staff. Our Urologists are educated and trained at some of the country’s best medical schools and teaching hospitals. We provide the highest quality care and cover the spectrum of diseases encountered by adults.
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Associate will provide excellent customer service while proactively executing all front office administrative duties.
Patient Services Associate Primary Job Responsibilities, but not limited to:
· Greets patients and answers multi-line phone system in a professional manner.
· Interpersonal skills and ability to interact with patients and families in a wide variety of sensitive situations.
· Check-in and check-out, verifying demographic and insurance information.
· Enters and maintains confidential and accurate patient information including patient insurance, billing and payment information throughout patient experience.
· Collection of co-pays and deductibles, if necessary.
· Scheduling and rescheduling of patient appointments.
· Insurance Authorizations.
· Works cohesively as a team to ensure a smooth front office operation.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· High school diploma or GED.
· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
· Previous medical office experience preferred, but not required.
· Computer competence and knowledge of EHR Systems.
Physical Requirement:
· Requires sitting, data entry and viewing computer screens for long periods of time.
· Work occasionally requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing and pulling.
· Must be able to lift and support up to 30 lbs.
