Urology Specialists is adding a Front Desk Receptionist to our busy healthcare team. ** Schedule will vary with hours between 7:30 - 5:30. ** M-F; No nights or weekends. This is a busy role covering several duties, so the right candidate will be professional, outgoing, positive, a quick learner and a hard worker. Urology Specialists is a busy independent practice located in southeastern Sioux Falls. Our group consist of eleven board certified urologists and eleven mid-levels. We offer the highest quality of comprehensive urological care in the region. Ability to multi-task is extremely important. Must be willing to adapt and change direction throughout the day as needed. Previous medical office experience preferred.
Greets, registers, instructs, and directs patients. Obtains current copies of insurance cards, performs e-verify as appropriate, enters accurate data into patient account in the EMR system after verifying patient information and ensuring new patient forms are completed fully. Collects co-pays and patient balances as directed by Billing. Processes mail and coordinates interpreter services, balances cash drawer and informs patient of credit and insurance policies. Schedules or reschedule clinic appointments and ancillary appointments as assigned. Records receipt of FMLA and disability paperwork and distributes accordingly. Checks visitors in/out and notifies respective staff member that their guest is here. Assists patients and visitors by giving driving directions as needed. Assists nursing by notifying patients of wait time. Manages vendor traffic, including pharmaceutical reps, and secures provider signatures. Enters deceased patient information into the EMR system. Oversees waiting room area keeping magazines updated and area tidy. Locks cash drawer and brings documentation to billing. Fulfills other duties as assigned by Clerical Lead or CEO.
