What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-time Ultrasound Sonographer Technician position at Urology Specialists?
Come join our fun and growing team at Urology Specialists! We have a rare full-time position for a qualified Ultrasound Technician (US Tech). No nights, weekends, holidays or on call are required, PLUS a half day off each week! This position reports to the Director of Nursing and Clinical Operations.
This position is full-time, full benefit package eligible.
The US Tech is responsible for producing images of designated anatomical areas as order/directed and providing clinical and technical support within their scope of practice. The US Tech follows all established practices and procedures. Assists with image requesting via GE PACS and reviews dosimetry reports as applicable. Works with physician and administration on special projects and other duties as needed (i.e. data collection, EMR, recognition, etc.). Perform medical ultrasonography in clinic setting and technical assistance as appropriate in the ambulatory surgical center setting.
EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school of ultrasonography. ARDMS-RDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography/ Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. Preferred Certification from the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)
EXPERIENCE: 6 months experience preferred
LICENSURE: ARDMS-RDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography/Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. ARRT(R) registration preferred.
