RNs starting at $28.00-$31.00 an hour based on experience, LPNs starting at $19.00- 24.00 an based on experience. And CMAs starting $19.00 - 22.00 an hour based on experience.
A Nurse navigator is a healthcare professional who works as an essential part of clinical team that assists in navigation through a treatment process. They assess emotional, clinical, financial, psychological, spiritual, and other patient needs. Nurse Navigators are responsive to questions that arise during consultation and ongoing medical therapy. Nurse Navigators assist in personalizing a patient’s care to provide comprehensive services. They have ongoing dialog with other members of the medical team to report changes or concern with regard to care plan.
Key Responsibilities:
· Educate patients about their conditions, treatments, side effects and prescriptions
· Provide healthcare resources, such as consultations, testing, or treatment options
· Provide answers to questions and liaise with physicians
· Address administrative healthcare needs for patients, such as patient assistance programs that assist with housing, childcare, transportation, prescription costs, and finances
· Assist with referrals to appropriate contacts, such as social workers, or counselors
· Ensure accessibility to all healthcare documents and information
· Secure, assess and coordinate quality care services throughout their facility
· Support effective appointment scheduling, treatment procedures and diagnostic testing
· Conduct prior authorizations for oncology medications when required
· Direct patient care including assessments, treatment planning, and follow-ups
· Drug management including ordering, administration of oncology medications
· Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or medical assisting program.
- Experience: One year of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting preferred.
- Certificate/License: Possession of a State Registered License or Certificate. CPR certification up to date.
