Key Responsibilities:
- Re-Platforming Effort: Lead the migration of the operating system from RHEL 8.10 to RHEL 9.4.
- Java Upgrade: Upgrade the Java environment from version 1.6 to Java 21.
- JBoss Transition: Transition from JBoss 5.1.0 GA to JBoss EAP 8.0.4.
- Performance Enhancement: Ensure the upgraded application provides enhanced performance and improved security features.
- Support Modern Practices: Implement best practices to support modern development and deployment processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and minimal disruption during the migration process.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of the migration process, configurations, and any changes made.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in application modernization, including Java upgrades, and JBoss transitions.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of RHEL, Java, JBoss, and modern development practices. Experience with Scripting languages like bash or Korn shell is a plus
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Communication: Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
