Director of Nursing – Home Health
Region: Coastal Virginia (multi-site coverage)
The Role:
Lead a multi-site home health team. Oversee field clinicians. Manage visit volume. Enforce compliance. Optimize cost per episode.
What You’ll Do:

Supervise a team of RNs, LPNs, and PRNs across multiple offices

Monitor visit utilization across a fixed-reimbursement model (~$2K per 30-day episode)

Coach staff to avoid unnecessary visits—salaried roles must hit ~26 visits/week

Enforce documentation standards to maintain billing and survey readiness

Partner with intake, scheduling, and field teams to keep operations aligned

Track performance using an EMR (WellSky or similar)

Office-based leadership role; occasional field backup only when needed
What You Bring:

Active RN license (Virginia)

Experience managing clinical teams in a home health setting

Knowledge of Medicare PPS and how visit volume affects cost and compliance

Confident enforcing standards and pushing accountability
