About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior IT Project Manager to lead and drive complex, cross-functional technology projects from inception to delivery. In this remote role, you will coordinate efforts across departments, manage timelines, mitigate risks, and ensure successful delivery of projects aligned with business goals.
You will serve as a strategic partner to stakeholders and clients, managing communication, expectations, and performance while maintaining a high standard of delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple large-scale IT projects across the full project lifecycle using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
- Develop, define, and execute project scope, goals, resource plans, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Manage project work plans, tracking progress, and ensuring accountability for deliverables, risks, and variances.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across engineering, sales, product, and client services teams.
- Ensure compliance with project standards, including security, audit, and governance requirements.
- Coordinate vendor-based implementations and third-party integrations.
- Foster strong relationships with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Lead project communications, change management, and status reporting for executive leadership.
- Use tools like JIRA, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, or similar to monitor and control project activities.
- Manage financials, forecasts, procurement, and vendor contracts related to project execution.
Required Qualifications
- 9 years of experience as an IT Project Manager, leading enterprise-level initiatives.
- Proven experience in managing high-priority, complex technology projects in FinTech, banking, or data environments.
- PMP Certification from PMI (active and in good standing).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience with tools such as MS Project, JIRA, Azure DevOps, and Microfocus PPM.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects within scope, budget, and timelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interface with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience integrating cloud platforms, managing data warehouse projects, or overseeing vendor-based implementations is preferred.
