What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Relations Specialist position at Ursinus College?
The Corporate Relations Specialist will be responsible for launching and growing the College’s first dynamic corporate partners program. Responsibilities include strategically and intentionally growing corporate partnerships to enhance engagement with faculty, staff, and students in the overall goal of generating new revenue for the College through sponsorships and/or volunteerism. The position will develop strategic business relationships with companies to support their talent needs in the recruitment, development, and retention of their workforce. Additionally, the goal of the program is to further enhance the economic development of Collegeville, of which Ursinus is a main driver. The position will manage the process of access to students, faculty, and campus events throughout the year and work to maximize corporate sponsorship opportunities and volunteers supporting the College.

Responsibilities
- In coordination with advancement leadership and key campus partners, devise, implement, and evaluate programming for the Corporate Partners Program (CPP).
- Steward and develop relationships to ensure partner satisfaction and ongoing participation and membership upgrades. Develop and maintain regular reporting for corporate partners in the program.
- Develop innovative, industry-responsive programming to advance student recruitment and engagement priorities in coordination with colleagues.
- Plan and schedule a wide range of events and targeted engagement and branding opportunities working closely with the Director of Alumni and Family Engagement.
- Launch a corporate advisory council, a group of highly engaged corporate leaders who meet regularly to provide time, talent, and treasure to the institution.
- Executes strategy for corporate partnerships and account management, including the pursuit of new opportunities, managing and cultivating existing relationships, implementation of corporate initiatives and driving account engagement to achieve revenue target goals.
- Supports the college’s strategy with key foundations, especially corporate foundations. Oversees and leads the development of proposals and reports - including concept development, letters of inquiry, project planning, and writing to a final copy
- Organizes meetings or tours as part of stewardship plans and site visits, involving President and/or other leadership
- Work with other Advancement staff in identifying alumni and friends of Ursinus College with influence at corporations, foundations, and other organizations whose priorities reflect the College’s activities
- Enforce CPP branding and promote partnerships and program messaging per branding guidelines across all displays (websites, print, etc.).
- Work on special projects as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience, ideally in business development, sales, or higher education.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and highest commitment to accuracy and thoroughness
- Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities, produce quality work, and meet deadlines
- Strong project management and planning skills as well as the ability to navigate multiple, competing deadlines
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- A valid driver’s license and use of a car.
- Ability to sit for extended periods at personal computer performing related functions.
- Availability and flexibility to travel in the Greater Philadelphia region, as needed;
- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends, as necessary.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
Departmental Accountabilities:
- Works collaboratively with colleagues and team members in the Advancement Office and throughout the College. Participates in Advancement Office meetings and other key College staff meetings.
- Provides support to office leadership, as needed, for priority projects.
- Understands the importance of building a culture of philanthropy.
- Possesses knowledge and experience with computer programs that support the Advancement Department including Microsoft Office programs and Raiser’s Edge.
