What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Worker/Painter position at Ursuline Sisters of Mount St. Joseph?

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains and repairs structures, including buildings, carports, barns, outbuildings and garages.
- Repairs equipment, including put not limited to lawn mowers, tractors, and other implements used on the property.
- Provide maintenance on the Mount's fleet vehicles.
- General upkeep of fire escapes, window repair, and replacement and any repair or replacement of interior and exterior doors.
- Replace or repair woodwork through the campus.
- Perform weekly and weekend rounds (on rotating basis).
- Assist with snow and ice removal and the application of ice melt in designated areas.
- Assist with moving and trimming of lawns.
- Ensure grounds are free of trash and debris.
- Removal of limbs and branches from trees and shurbs.
- Perform carpentry work to include repairing woodwork, window/door casements, and trim.
- Make repairs to wooden staircases, (steps and handrails).
- Repair bookcases, tables, chairs, cabinets, desks, and beds.
- Maintain wastewater treatment and equipment, tending to pumps and other equipment necessary to maintain proper wastewater processes.
- Assist in installation and repair of water and sewer lines.
- Perform required tests on system.
- Take samples as required.
Skills and Abilities Required
- The ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- The ability to grasp and lift up to 40 pounds.
- The ability to read, recall, write, and understand information.
- The ability to work under moderate pressure
- The ability to manage multiple tasks.
Education, Training and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience in maintenance, carpentry, mechanics, plumbing, and electricity.
