OPENINGS
PRN shifts needed. Must be able to work day & night shifts. 12 hours day shift 5:30am - 6:10pm. 12 hour night shift 5:30PM - 6:10AM.
Nurse Assistant Pay per Hour:
Min pay $13.22/ hour up to $18.22/hr (increases based on years of experience).
Plus a $2.00/hour shift differential for night shift $1.00/hour shift differential for weekends.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in carrying out the philosophy and policies of the Mount Saint Joseph Ursuline Sisters regarding health care for the residents.
- Maintains established healthcare standards, policies, and procedures.
- Observes residents and notes any physical and psychological changes, appetites, reactions, and reports those findings to the nurse on duty.
- Observes and practices emergency and safety procedures according to facility policy.
- Responsible for the general care of the residents—this includes bathing, feeding, making beds, vital signs, cleaning and simple laundry, and providing a safe and clean environment.
- Demonstrates proper body mechanics and infection control techniques.
- Maintains resident’s rights and the confidentiality of medical information.
- Completes required documentation.
Skills and Abilities Required
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Relates professionally and positively with staff and visitors, projects a professional image for the facility, works cooperatively with associates at all levels, and has good interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and turn residents, also to withstand prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying.
- Must maintain regular attendance
