General Summary
The purpose of the ITAD Technician I, II, III positions is to inspect, evaluate, test, data sanitize, upgrade and troubleshoot a variety of electronics and computer components for reuse and resale.
Essential Job Functions
· Identify order to be processed and review ITAD Checklist Sheet on how to process the order
· Understand the Triage Guidelines for asset evaluation
· Identify computer component specifications for sorting, testing and/or data erasure
· Locate the product details to research online to accurately identify the manufacturers features for the asset to be tested for full functionality and whether all accessories are included
· Enter asset specifications, physical condition, grading, erasure and testing results into our inventory ERP Systems
· Troubleshoot failed testing results to ensure testing equipment is working as intended
· Replace and/or install missing, damaged or failed computer components and/or parts to a variety of electronics. (II,III)
· Perform an in-depth cleaning for all passed electronics assets
· Relocate passed and failed assets into designated areas
· Fill out proper paperwork for passed assets and place in packaging
· Restore units to factory reset (II,III)
· Install Operating Systems on Servers, Computers, Laptops, Chromebooks, Gaming Consoles, Network Equipment and Mobile Devices (III)
· Perform data analysis on processed orders checking for accuracy (II,III)
· Accurately log time and production
· Train other associates in ITAD Testing processes (II, III)
· Fork truck operation (III)

- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all safety and process certifications
· Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
· Use of pallet tipper, standard and electric pallet jack
· Additional duties may be assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
· Must meet minimum-security requirements of Data Control/Asset Departments.
· Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
· Familiarity with IT equipment to include computing devices, computer components, mobile devices, smart wearables, networking devices, smart home devices, and basic business and office technology equipment
· Ability to read, write and speak English
· Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
· Ability to use hand and power tools
· Ability to perform essential duties in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently
· Ability to stand for long periods
Education and Experience
Prefer Associates Degree in Computer Technology related field or A certification and/or equivalent relevant experience. Previous experience testing/repairing various types of electronics and information technology equipment preferred.
