About US 1 Shorthaul's Yard Jockey Position :
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Correctly move trailers in and out of dock with yard goats
- Maneuvering truck and trailer safely in busy industrial environments
- Regularly checking equipment for faults or damages
- Ensuring the equipment complies with all guidelines, including weight restrictions
- Proper pre and post trip inspections and submitting reports indicating truck conditions
- Produce activity logs
- Adhere to guidelines of safety-sensitive functions pertaining to job responsibilities within yard
- Identifying workplace safety hazards
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES :
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :
May substitute local for over-the-road experience
