Overview
The intensive care team is composed of board-certified critical care, pulmonary physicians with over 15 years experience. The group has been working together since 2008. The group also includes acute care nurse practitioners who hold decades of experience and are skilled in performing all critical care procedures. Ascension Seton Williamson provides instruction to 4th-year medical students and second-year EM residents who complete their ICU rotation at the medical center.
Our clinicians provide care in several outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine clinics in the Austin metro area. A lung nodule program has been established, and due to the acquisition of the EON software, navigation of incidental nodules and findings on lung cancer screenings are now possible. The hospital also has several advanced bronchoscopic tools including the ION robotic navigational bronchoscope, a Ziehms 3D C-arm, and an endobronchial US.
