Research Soil Scientist/Agronomist/Plant Physiologist

Duties

• Conduct basic and applied research to improve resilience and crop water productivity of irrigated and dryland cropping systems with an emphasis on forage production.
• Develop and refine innovative practices to manage water for sustainable agriculture production for marginally irrigated and dryland cropping systems in a region with increasingly limited availability of water for irrigation.
• Conduct supporting research to enhance the understanding of crop response to water and assess water management strategies.
• Mitigate climate change effects on agriculture by enhancing the development of advanced dryland and limited irrigation system management.
