In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience
Practical knowledge of recreation activities, rules and procedures. Ability to safeguard and handle cash e.g., make change, count safe, till's, count the deposit and fill out proper paperwork. Skill in the use and maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities are desirable. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; recurring activities such as bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, and reaching; and recurring lifting of moderately heavy items. Must be able to frequently lift boxes of up to 50 pounds. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Must be able to complete a National Agency check with Inquiries (NACI).
