What this job involves - Manage overall operations and is responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control, and safety measures as established and set coordinate the team in the delivery of services to operate and maintain a manufacturing client’s real estate portfolio. Including customer/client services, event coordination, material handling, financial management, facility maintenance, procurement, and supplier management.
Develop client relationships with key representatives in supporting client’s corporate real estate goals and objectives. Enhance the operational procedure, systems, and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, enhanced management reporting, and look for opportunities to expand systems. Ensure that services are delivered at the highest levels of quality, in keeping with the expectations of our customer and the importance of this site.

What is the day to day?
- Responsible for a region of the client team’s North American Facility Management Portfolio. Includes responsibility for several sites and potentially soft service program delivery.
- Oversee the operation, staffing, performance, and development of a region’s facility management service delivery team. Motivate team to maintain engagement and continually improve performance the operation, staffing, performance, and development of the Facilities Management service delivery staff
- Coordinate discussions with each direct report regarding goal setting, performance reviews, career development planning and incentive/salary administration
- Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions
- Ensure compliance with all EHS requirements of firm and the client. Meet or exceed Jones Lang LaSalle audit standards
- Ensure consistent service delivery across the region and entire portfolio by having robust processes implemented across sites and partnering with the other region manager. Seek to understand best practices from sites. Share best practices with peers and subject matter experts across the JLL account team, JLL functional experts, and client.
- Ensure client satisfaction with service delivery results by providing a seamless interface into the client organization. Partner with key client executives.
- Ensure JLL and client quality standards are met. A portion of service delivery responsibilities at sites includes regulated maintenance work (preventive and/or reactive) and will require oversight. Lead and participate in audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate leadership, responsiveness and creativity to client and JLL team. Develop and implement innovative programs and processes that reduce short and long term operating costs and increase productivity. Work closely with site managers and the client
- Develop and implement the annual management plan for the region; accomplish key performance indicators as identified by through SLA’s/KPI’s of the account
- Provide leadership for the successful implementation of special projects and initiatives
- Maximize utilization of suppliers, preferred vendors/contractors and the level of spending with diverse businesses consistent with client goals
- Manage and encourage participation in the client and Jones Lang LaSalle Employee Recognition Awards programs
- Ensure region’s business continuity plans and emergency readiness are updated and in compliance with client requirements
- Work with site FM’s and soft service managers on program implementation and share feedback and opportunities for improvement
- Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends
- Develop operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; develop, implement, enforce, and evaluate policies and procedures; develop processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping
- Analyze and improve organizational process and workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes
- Support the development and manage the detailed, zero-based annual operating budgets for sites in your region
- Review monthly/quarterly variance reporting on for sites in your region on a timely basis. Work closely with the account financial team to meet financial policies of the account.
- Help to develop and approve the annual and longer term investment plan for sites in region
Desired experience and technical skills -
Required
- Experience in government contracting
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Facilities Management with emphasis on operational management
- 6 years of industry experience either in the corporate environment or as a third party service provider
- Strong organizational, leadership, interpersonal and supervisory skills
- Familiar with presenting to C-Suite Executives and/or Clients
- Proficient with managing budget or P&L for large-scale projects
- Periodic travel required between multiple sites within South Carolina
