What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Coordinator position at US AMR-Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc.?
Shift - Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift will fall between 7 AM to 5 PM
What this job involves - The Material Coordinator will perform all activities related to shipping/receiving, storing, delivering, transferring, reconciling, and cycle counting materials per cGMP procedures and regulations, within multiple systems and/or between multiple sites.
What is your day to day?
- Execute critical warehouse operations related to shipping/receiving, storing, delivering, transferring, reconciling, and cycle counting materials per cGMP procedures and regulations, within multiple systems and/or between multiple sites.
- Use Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV) to move warehouse materials.
- Operate trucks (flat bed or panel) to move warehouse materials, hazardous materials or general receiving goods following Department of Transportation regulations.
- Practice a positive, constructive & ambitious work environment.
- Contribute to a safe workplace culture, ensuring safety & environmental requirements are met.
- Ensure that materials are received, stored, and distributed according to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and other applicable regulations and specifications.
- Ensure GMP activities follow approved GMP procedures and are documented according to cGMP and/or GDP requirements. Will also execute these GMP tasks as needed.
- Responsible for reporting risks/events to ensure the safety, purity, quality, and effectiveness of the product(s) manufactured are not impacted.
- Ensure that all required training is completed prior to performing assigned GMP activities.
- Participate in activities that ensure all areas are prepared for regulatory audits and inspections.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives, programs, and projects.
Desired experience and technical skills -
Required
- High school diploma/GED
- Experience working within a warehouse and/or with material/inventory.
- Aptitude to follow pre-determined SOPs and willingness to learn about industry-specific documentation practices.
- Ability to establish rapport with team members through good communication and positive attitude.
Preferred
- Experience working in a warehouse environment (pharmaceuticals or biotechnology)
- Basic knowledge of warehouse inventory management, SAP and Microsoft Office
- Understand and carry out to Department of Transportation (DOT) and international shipping requirements (IATA)
- Ability to carefully and accurately follow complex written procedures
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices or willing to learn
- Knowledgeable of Cold Chain distribution requirement
- Ability to operate a forklift or other powered industrial vehicle
- Possess and exhibit excellent attention to detail and strong documentation abilities.
