The Critical Environments Technician is responsible for the administrative and critical facility aspects of a commercial office building’s corrective and preventative maintenance programs. The successful candidate must be able to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.
Duties
The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge and execution of all mechanical and electrical systems.
- Assist with monitoring contracted service vendors and work performed on or within the critical infrastructure.
- Conduct visual inspections of all equipment dedicated to critical infrastructure; generate reports and log equipment as needed.
- Complete corrective and preventative maintenance work orders received from the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Enforce all requirements of the Critical Environments Change Control Process.
- Create reports for incidents that occur during shift and implement emergency response protocol as necessary.
- Respond to alarms and abnormal conditions in critical areas when alerted by the Building Management System (BMS), client, building security and/or facility management personnel during and outside normal business hours
Qualifications
Knowledge of commercial or industrial building systems and critical infrastructure; technical school/military training helpful.
Proficient in Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint preferred. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
The Critical Environments Technician will be exposed to a wide variety of information and must be able to discern the appropriate manner in which such information must be handled and protect the integrity of such information at all times.
