Job Highlights
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation)
- Assists in the formulation of a business improvement vision.
- Operationalizes the improvement plan with a detailed project and resource plan & execution to improve scheduling and other operational aspects of the group.
- Prepares an annual budget in coordination with cross-functional partners & leadership. Aligned to hit PPAA’s annual budget and EBITDA targets. (Financial MGT) - Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
- Directs team in the delivery of daily, weekly, quarterly and annual service, scheduling and other operational deliverables. These include annual vacation planning, quarterly call and assignment schedule, call assignment trade(s) and the daily published schedule.
- Formulates and stewards scheduling scorecard results in the areas of quality, productivity, financial impact, service levels and timeliness.
- Organizes and administers key Physician led operations centric sub-committees such as the Scheduling Committee. Primary point person for ensuring meeting agendas are crafted and communicated. Also, responsible for ensuring meeting minutes are properly published and proper resources are engaged for effective meetings.
- Provides operations analysis, support and recommendations as appropriate to improve service quality, productivity, financial performance and Physician owner support.
- Establishes benchmarks and drives to maximize performance metrics on scheduling enabled service levels.
- Oversees the development, approval, retention and execution of key operational policies and procedures.
- Works effectively with cross-functional team members including departmental team members in Finance, HR, IT, RCM & Quality departments to achieve desired results and intended improvement plan objectives.
- Drives productivity improvement and enhanced income performance through best practices and proper workforce alignment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSAs):
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare or operations.
- Minimum 7 years professional experience.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience directing a team.
- Minimum of 3 years of healthcare, surgery or physician services experience.
- Strong project management and change leadership experience.
- Strong communication skills.
