Duties
- Maintains horse stable and recreational areas.
- Performs grass-cutting requirement using a riding lawn mower / garden tractors (from 18HP to 31HP), push mowers, edgers, chainsaws, blowers, weed eaters, pruners, etc.
- Performs daily cleaning and maintenance of recreational facilities and areas within the stables. Picks up trash around the grounds, keep supply lists, fuel logs, maintenance and hazardous waste records.
- Assists in setting-up, maintenance, and takedown of all special planned programs / events. Sets up and maintains recreation equipment.
- Performs routine repairs and maintenance on park equipment such as painting, replacing hardware, boards, etc. Other duties as assigned.

- Must be willing and able to frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to make repairs where parts worked on are in hard-to-reach places. Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb, push, pull, reach, carrying, bend, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
- A pre-employment occupational physical and drug testing is required for this position.
- Appointment subject to favorable suitability determination.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
- Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
- Requires periodic drug testing.
- The employee must have and maintain a current driver's license while in this job.

- Must have work experience directly related to the duties to be performed.
- Must be able to understandoral English and read and understand written instructions in englishto assure safe and satisfactory performance (reading chemicals labels, operating instructions, assignments,etc).
- Experience in accomplishing the types of duties described in this job.

- This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
- All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
- Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.
