What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recreation Aid (Facility Aid) NF-01 position at US Army Installation Management Command?
Duties
- Serves as a Facility Aid in a Fitness Facility. Works under the direction of the Facility Manager. Assists the Facility Manager in the overall operation of a fitness facility.
- Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory: provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery.
- Performs facility cleanliness and/or monitors contracts. Assists with publicity of programs and events and assists with the delivery and placement of posters, flyers and other promotional material.
- Issues/receives equipment to authorized users. Monitors fitness equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement as appropriate. Cleans and performs minor maintenance on facility equipment.
- Assists in setting up for instructors, contractors, events, athletic activities, and related functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

- Successful completion of a pre-employment physical is required for this position. May be required to lift 40lbs.
- Must be willing to work an occasional rotating shift to include weekend and/or holiday shift as needed based on mission needs.
- Must possess the following within 6 months of employment: MWR Orientation Course, Customer Service.
Qualifications
- Possesses related work experience that includes the demonstrated ability to perform the duties of position as indicated above.
- Six (6) months of customer service experience.
- Six (6) months of cash register experience and/or experience performing financial transactions.
- Experience working with athletic and/or fitness activities.

- Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). - Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
